Hello ServiceNation!

As Youth Chair, I'm proud to be sharing this moment, and this movement, with you. We are part of a coalition of which includes some of this country's most impressive leaders, from all sectors of society. Though we may come from very different backgrounds and lead very different lives, we are united on the common ground of service.

In every significant movement in history, young people have stood on the frontlines, blazing new trails and inspiring people of all ages into action. This is no different. Every young leader at this Summit has given their time, talent and energy to address some of our country's most pressing problems. The commitment and dedication each of you has shown is one of the primary reasons why I'm so honored to be part of this team.

As an artist, I am often recognized for the music I make and the performances I give. I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of many incredible moments. But this is the work that inspires me empowering young people to become active in their communities.

I know that each of you is making a difference too, in a hundred different ways that are all equally inspiring.

I stand ready to learn from you, hear your voice, and in turn, share it with everyone I can. I also stand ready to continue to serve with you past the Summit, through the Day of Action and more.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said "the time is always right to do what is right."

It inspires us all to rise above obstacles and to become a force moving toward great possibility. The time is right to build the ServiceNation, and to call upon our peers, friends and family to join us in doing so.
