CHANGEWIRE BLOG

For a long time the Me Generation was in the spotlight. Now the Me Generation is ready for its close-up. That’s the name being given to the Millennial Gen (somehow no one seems to like that tag) by a start-up called Gen-We.org. And whether it sticks or not, this looks to be a very interesting venture, and totally simpatico with Be The Change, Inc.’s emphasis on citizen engagement in service, politics, and public policy. Gen-We is the brainchild of internet entrepreneur Eric Greenberg. Greenberg has traveled a fascinating path of success, disillusionment, and reawkening, which has led to Gen-We. And to explain it all he has co-authored a book called Generation We. Anyhow, the site looks very cool says: In early 2009, Gen-We will release a site that will allow you to connect, organize, develop campaigns, and launch actions that influence the political process and enable your collective voice to be heard and heeded.

You can also learn more about what Gen-We is up to by reading their Declaration (which overlaps nicely with OUR Declaration). So we have lots to talk about. Exciting possibilities, and I leave you with Gen-We’s very nicely produced video:
