For our Day of Action, we’re also working with Take Pride, who connected us to National Public Lands Day. They’ve both got great sites, and great opportunities.

Take Pride (read their blog here) is under the Department of the Interior. What do they do?

Take Pride in America® is a national partnership program aimed at increasing volunteer service on America’s public lands. It is the goal of Take Pride to empower volunteers from every corner of America to maintain and enhance our natural, cultural, and historical sites.

Check out their PSAs with Clint Eastwood!

And National Public Lands Day is (coincidentally) taking place on our Day of Action - so we’re working together! They’re working all across the country to clean up public lands, and educate Americans about our land on September 27th. It’s great to be a part of these programs - volunteers have repeatedly demonstrated their power on National Public Lands Day, and it’s a great way to serve.
